Julianne Androshick


Julie Androshick brings years of strategic leadership across nonprofits that are advancing racial and economic justice. She has helped organizations build sustainable infrastructure through intentional investment, fundraising, and partnerships rooted in equity. Julie’s passion lies in creating long-term change by resourcing movements led by and for communities most impacted by injustice. Her belief that transformation starts with listening and building together aligns with Women on the Rise’s mission to lift the voices of Black women and reimagine safety and wellbeing beyond the carceral state. She holds a degree from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia.

Nneka Tapia Jones


Nneka Tapia Jones is a clinical psychologist and seasoned leader in justice reform who has transformed some of the most challenging systems from within. As a former Warden of Cook County Jail and current Managing Director of Justice Initiatives at Chicago Beyond, Nneka works to center healing, mental wellness, and community voice across carceral and educational spaces. Her work supports families, schools, and institutions in building a culture of care and collective safety. Nneka’s vision reflects the mission of Women on the Rise — to shift power away from punishment and toward community-led support rooted in love and liberation. She earned her Doctorate in Psychology from the Virginia Consortium Program.

Nicole D. Porter


Nicole D. Porter has spent her career fighting to dismantle the systems of mass incarceration and expand access to democracy. As Senior Director of Advocacy at The Sentencing Project, she supports campaigns to advance sentencing reform, end felony disenfranchisement, and close prisons. Her work is grounded in community and informed by years of research, organizing, and coalition-building. Named a “New Civil Rights Leader” by Essence Magazine, Nicole believes in a future shaped by the people most impacted. Her commitment to building collective power mirrors Women on the Rise’s mission to center the leadership of formerly incarcerated women and demand policy that reflects care, not punishment. Nicole holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Texas at Austin.

Roberta “Toni” Meyers


Roberta “Toni” Meyers is the Vice President of State Strategy and Reentry at the Legal Action Center, where she leads strategic policy efforts across the country to eliminate barriers for people with criminal records. She also directs the No Health = No Justice initiative, a national campaign pushing for racial equity at the intersection of health care and criminal legal reform. Toni brings decades of experience working alongside directly impacted people to shift systems, improve access to housing, employment, and healthcare, and build power in Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. Her leadership has shaped national conversations around reentry and healing justice. Toni’s vision aligns with Women on the Rise’s commitment to ending the criminalization of our people and ensuring that those most harmed by systemic injustice are leading the work to transform it. She holds degrees in Business and Public Safety.

Tamika Webb


Tamika Webb is a passionate advocate for justice whose work is deeply informed by her lived experience as the daughter of a formerly incarcerated father. She is committed to building a world where people are not defined by their past but embraced for their humanity, potential, and dreams. Tamika’s approach reflects Women on the Rise’s vision of a justice system rooted in restoration and community care. She holds a degree in business management and uses her voice and organizing power to ensure that people coming home have the support, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.
