Kylah Williams,
Reentry Specialist

Pronouns: She/Her

Kylah Williams is our newest Reentry Specialist. After serving an 11 year prison sentence, she got out to a life of turmoil and adversity. With no stable housing, employment and a 11 year old child in tow, Kylah’s resilience and determination to succeed allowed her to be introduced to a number of programs that were best suited to help the barriers she faced. She navigated the corporate world and quickly climbed the ladder of success. However she always had a passion for being of service to others and always felt something was missing. She started to attend different workshops, and seminars and always became inspired by the individuals who had survived and conquered. She became a volunteer for non profits in the area but still yearned for something more personable and meaningful. As time went by she started to let go of the idea of being a part of something so prestigious. In late 2023 she started a quality control position, vowing that she was done with chasing her dream of being a part of the nonprofit world. She had become content and grateful for passive income. In 2024 she ran across a career opportunity for Women on the Rise. She had applied with good intentions, and was hopeful for good news. Fast forward and here we are! Kylah has a niche for displaying compassion and allowing herself to see things from all perspectives, especially those in need. Kylah’s motto is “When life is nuts… make peanut butter, then all will be smooth!” The idea of growing with the wonderful ladies of Women on the Rise is music to Kylah’s ears.
